Um.... well..... basic shapes really. Like a circle for it's head, triangles for its ears and so on...
Then I add in detail and shape the thing so it looks right :D

well the proportions are well done, you can see a distinct shadow underneath the fox itself, the fur is well done, not just using blacks and whites and greys, but adding tints of blue are well done, so overall a really nice piece :P
